Self-diagnosis method

01

family history

If there are people who are worried about hair loss among the adults of their parents' generation, older brothers, and sisters, you should pay attention to hair loss.

02

hair loses strength

As hair loss progresses, the hair in the frontal and parietal areas becomes thinner and softer.

03

hairline goes up

In the case of men, after puberty, the hairline on the forehead gradually changes from a circular shape to an M-shape. For those with hair loss, the hairline recedes upward and the M-shape becomes deeper. If such a change occurs and the hair on the bangs becomes thinner and there are more fine hairs, hair loss should be strongly suspected.

04

Hair on the crown of the head becomes thinner

When the hair on the top of the head falls out, the density decreases and the hair becomes thinner, the scalp becomes clear. This is a common early symptom of female hair loss.

05

Hair on other parts of the body thickens

Another symptom of hair loss is the unusually thick and abundant hair and beard on the arms, legs, and chest.

06

The amount of dandruff increases

It's about dandruff and secretions from the sebaceous glands that have dried up on the stratum corneum that comes off the scalp.

07

Check the number of hairs falling out per day

When you wake up in the morning, if there are more than 3 or 4 hairs on the pillow and there are fine hairs on the floor, if you dry your hair after washing it, more than 10 strands fall out, or if the hole is clogged when you wash your hair, you should suspect hair loss. , The number of hairs falling over 100 per day is the level of suspicion of “pathological hair loss”.

TIP

Pulled Test

If you lift your head between your fingers with your palms stretched out with normal force, it is normal for up to 2 hairs to fall out, with an average of 1 to 1.5 hairs falling out. If more than 3 to 4 hairs fall out at a time, hair loss can be strongly suspected.
